Eyes Wide Open
An Exhibition on the Human Cost of The Iraq War
Comes to Austin

September 12, 13 and 14 - 7 AM to 7 PM
Auditorium Shores West

Eyes Wide Open is a memorial to service members and civilians killed in the
Iraq war, and a respectful space for their families and all visitors to reflect
on the human cost of war.

Eyes Wide Open, the American Friends Service Committee’s widely
acclaimed exhibition on the human cost of the Iraq War, returns to Austin on
September 12th at Auditorium Shores. When Austin hosted the exhibit in
February 2005, this powerful event drew 3000 visitors and every major
news station.  We expect far more visitors this year.

The exhibit features a pair of boots honoring each Texas military casualty, a
field of shoes to memorialize the Iraqis killed in the conflict, and a display
exploring the history, cost and consequences of war.

We are in great need of volunteers all day on Friday, and Saturday
and Sunday evenings. To volunteer you may contact us at
eyeswideopeninaustin@gmail.com
